Viva Italia!!!

The best thing that happened to us a few years ago was when Chelsea came to BYU. Clint and Derek's cousin whose family currently lives in Georgia. She and Derek especially had an instant bond. And we love her.
She just got her mission call to Italy, Rome. We will miss her, but Jacquie, her sister, who just got back from her mission in Taiwan, fortunately, will be around instead, along with Hannah! Who will come to BYU this Fall. So we are getting 2 for the price of 1! But we will still miss Chelsea.

But we took this opportunity to have an Italian party. Chelsea and Jacquie took some of these photos...the best ones, of course.

And Jacquie and Chelsea frosted and decorated and artistically placed the red velvet cupcakes.
Live long and prosper...

I was going to make the Vatican out of cupcakes, but decided at the last minuet to just make an artist pallet instead. Since Chelsea is an artist, after all.

Italian Carbonara, Cesar Salad, and bread. That's Italian.

Jeff, Clint and Derek were also going to have a camp out in the backyard because the next day was Memorial Day. Jeff set up the tent and we had a fire and had s'mores. And Jeff cooked a roast over an open fire as an experiment. We were not really planning on eating it, because we already had dinner. We all just had a few little pieces to try it out, and before we knew it, it was gone.
Jacquie is about the funniest person that I have ever known, and she kept going on about how she and Chelsea needed to just cook a big piece of meat in the courtyard of their apartment complex to meet guys. But they have plenty of dates without the meat. I just hope they can keep fitting us into their schedules. Jacquie's birthday is next month...I am planning on having a summer Chinese New Year! I can't wait!

How fun. It makes me sad that I don't live closer to everyone, but I'm glad you had a fun time and such a cool dinner.
