April Fools 2011

This year I tried meatloaf cupcakes with mashed potato frosting. And Fruit Pizza for dessert.
Jacquie and Hannah were a little leary at first

 But they loved them. So did Clint and Jeff.
Of course Derek didn't even try one...but he did go for my April Fool's stand-by of the Jello in the cup with a straw.
He wasn't suprised, but he played along anyways.

Rachel- isn't just the fun prep of a surprise even better than the surprise sometimes? I love to see that there's another kindred spirit (Yes- I LOVE "Anne of Green Gables") out there in the world. Those are the people I want in my neck of the woods when things get rough. I want someone I know will help me watch for the magical little moments and savor the preciousness of a laugh. Thanks for the BEAUTIFUL photos of your delictable treats. It makes my heart sing to see what you are up to.

I've always wanted to do a fun April fools dinner like that. And yours was super cute! I love the meatloaf cupcake Idea. Maybe next April I will do it. Greg will be home and it would be fun to do it for him and the girls.
